James Lynch is an NYC-based actor and singer born and raised in New Jersey. He holds his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, where he was heavily involved in the university’s music and theatre departments. He was a four-year member of the William & Mary Choir, and he appeared in several theatrical productions, including Sense and Sensibility (Edward / Robert Ferrars), Into the Woods (Cinderella’s Prince), Metamorphoses (Apollo and others), and The Addams Family (Lukas Beineke).

After graduating, James moved to New Jersey and began working as an Andrology and Endocrinology Lab Technician with the Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey. While the work was incredibly fulfilling, he found himself itching to perform again. So, in 2022, he chose to gamble on himself, quitting his job and pursuing a career as a full-time performer.

James found success first as a background actor and has worked on the set of several hit television shows and movies, including The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Equalizer, and Maestro. He booked opportunities on stage as well, performing in roles such as Neal in the original NYC production of Fifth Avenue (Don’t Tell Mama), E.C. Stone in Illusion (Spark Theatre Festival/28th Street Theater), and Star in Baby Powder (Dixon Place). In the Summer of 2023, he was cast as the understudy for the role of Adam in Saw the Musical: The Unauthorized Parody of Saw for the show’s Off-Broadway run at the AMT Theater. He took over the role in NYC in March 2024 and, in April, left for San Diego to play Adam on the show’s National Tour. Check out sawthemusical.com to find a show near you!
